Years ago, there used to be a annual Brass Band Competition held at the Kings Hall in Belle Vue Zoological Gardens at Manchster featuring the big well know known brass bands like Black Dyke Mills, Brighouse and Rastrick, CWS Manchester, Fairey Aviation, Foden's Motors, Grimethorpe Colliery, GUS Northampton and others from all over the country.
Sadly, like many others things today, no longer happening!
